Recently, Evergreen Maritime was awarded another million dollars contract, to design, supply and install 12 super pneumatic fenders for Mombasa Port, Kenya. 

Mombasa Port, the largest port in Kenya, one of the busiest ports in East Africa, between 2002 and 2006 has seen an increase of about 4 million tons in total cargo throughout, a 40% growth in the five years. In order to improve the cargo handling capacity of Mombasa Port, the Kenya Ports Authority invested construction of Second Container Terminal. The first phase includes construction of berth Nos. 20 and 21 with total quay length of 540 metres and a stacking yard of 50 ha, expected to be commissioned in March 2016. 

"Invited by KPA, Evergreen Maritime participate in the bid of pneumatic rubber fenders design and supply for new berths of Mombasa Port. As a manufacturer, Evergreen could guarantee inspection and quality control at each stage of the process through thorough testing on both the rubber and the filament reinforcing. A superior technical offering, 100 percent compliance to the specification and the ability to perform and verify extensive material and cyclic testing meant Evergreen were the supplier of choice. Evergreen Maritime won the order after several rounds of bidding," said by Peng Sui, the manager of Evergreen production. 

He added, "In addition to appointed classification society testing, those fenders will be required to undergo full scale performance testing, in which they will be compressed to 60% of their diameter to ensure the required energy absorption characteristics are met. Also there is a requirement for full scale cyclic testing to verify fatigue, durability and recovery characteristics of pneumatic fenders.

"Before marine fenders delivery, the inspection was carried out by the joint team of Lloyd's Register and representatives of Mombasa Port, strictly following the international standard of floating fenders, ISO 17357. The results of both air tightness, performance and ultimate pressure turn out to be better than the standard demands."

When talk about barge carrier people often think about LASH (Lighter Aboard SHip) or SeaBees which equipped with the rail mounted gantry crane or a massive stern lift. Can common barges act as barge carrier for transportation? And how to load/unload the carried barge? 

In 2014 September, Eversafe Marine contracted with Indonesian PMG company to unload one 700 tonnes weight 230 feet long barge from the barge carrier, one 300 feet barge with 900 tonnes lightweight. Those two barges were stacked together by floating crane in China then towed to Indonesia. With launching balloons, the 230 feet barge was directly launched into the sea from that 300 feet barge deck. 

Mike Jia, the project manager of Eversafe Marine said, “The Indonesian launch project arouses lots of interests from shipping companies, WINNING LOGISTIC is one of them. They planned to tow four 1300 tonnes barges measured by 300 feet long, 80 feet wide from China to Guinea KAMSAR port. To load barge onto another barge is not difficult, considering China has most lifting barges. If the barge unloading problems can be solved then people can stack barges for towing to save time and money.” 

He added, “Those barges have more than 1000 tonnes weight and same dimensions, to load and unload them is not an easy job. The launch must be precise since there is no room for any launch error.”

“Eversafe Engineers arrived in Guinea on 10^th June, Incorporated with WINNING LOGISTIC, successfully launched two barges from the mother barges in two weeks. Mother barges were ballasted with about 3000 tonnes water before launching, 18 pieces airbags with 1.5 m diameter were deployed for the launching. Airbags act as the pneumatic rollers also a massive air cushion between barge carrier and barge that is the key factor of the launch safety,” Mike said. 

Another Manager from Eversafe Marine commented “Airbag launching is a versatile and flexible technology. The success of direct launch vessels from carriers’ deck means a lot: It can be referred for other deck launching projects, such as the jackets launching. It comes to be possible to load and unload vessels without other assistant facilities, only airbags. Deflated airbags occupy little room can travel with vessels anywhere, it is feasible to launch vessels at any place.”

His goal is to develop an interpretation that will return the Bible to its place of prominence. “The Bible should hold a place of respect in every man's mind,” Solomon says. “This new version will serve as a useful tool, as a source of ideas and information for anyone at all who studies it.”

The Bible is the most famous and most widely disseminated piece of writing in the world, and serves as the basis for the three monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Solomon notes that as each religion has added denominations, there have been varying interpretations.

“In fact,” Solomon says, “university professors have discovered countless examples that disprove things written in the Bible. Due to the proliferation of so many theories, interpretations, and holy wars, the main ideas inherent in the Bible have gotten lost by the wayside.

“This new version will be earthshaking for people on both ends of the spectrum, in that it will also challenge the authenticity of the Bible.”

Samuel Paniagua, a Miami entrepreneur who develops on-line shopping websites, was previously being investigated in 2009 for communications fraud by the Miami-Dade Prosecutor’s office.

Even though the case is closed, Paniagua is maintaining his innocence, claiming that he was previously being investigated solely because of his association with MR Morales, who was convicted of a similar offense several years ago.

“This is clearly guilt by association,” says James Holden, a spokesman for Paniagua.

Paniagua, who served a three-year sentence for organized communications fraud from 2011-13, refused to testify in the Morales case.

“Because of his refusal to testify against MR Morales, the prosecution trumped up charges against Samuel Paniagua in an effort to retaliate against him,” Holden says. “In fact, Mr. Paniagua was in prison on the dates that he supposedly witnessed the crimes committed by MR Morales.”

Holden goes on to claim that local prosecutors illegally accessed records about Paniagua to bolster their case.

“These are illegal and unconstitutional tactics we see over and over again in this country to deprive citizens of their rights to fair trails and gain unethical advantages to convict innocent people,” Holden says. “Now the FBI has launched an investigation against the Dade County Prosecutor’s office and more details will be provided at a later time as this breaking story develops.”
